From: Elaine To: reservation@klamathusa.com Sent: Friday, February 07, 2003 6:24 PM Subject: inquiry Greetings. We're thinking about a family vacation on California's redwood coast. Two adults, boys 12 and 10 years old, and a 1-year old. Would your property be an appropriate choice for us? We're looking to stay 2-3 days and do lots of hiking and a little bit of fishing. Sent: Friday, February 07, 2003 11:24 PM Subject: Re: inquiry Hello Steve and Elaine, Well, in answer to your question with absolutely no bias :). We think our cabins are very nice and would be a good choice if................ You want to be within minutes of the Klamath River, or the Pacific Ocean, or Mill Creek fishing pond, or The Mouth of the Klamath River, or Driftwood Beaches, or Agate Beaches, or countless hiking trails that take you through the heart of the Redwood Forest, along streams, over mountains to hidden Beaches and stuff like that. Depending on what time of year you come, we could be in the middle of our King Salmon and Steelhead run. Maybe you would like to visit some tide pools and see the creatures of the ocean, or if you have never been on a jet boat, the Jet Boat Tour is a great way to explore the real hidden beauty of the upper part of the Klamath River. You might get a little wet but the kids ( Dads and Moms, too), will love it. Whale, Seal and Sea Lion watching is within a few hundred feet (or closer) from the mouth of the Klamath River. Look over head to the skies to that awe inspiring glimpse of the American Bald Eagle or the fishing eagle with the fish in his talons, the Osprey. All kidding aside, if you have never been to Klamath California and you like nature, like to fish and hike and explore, you are in for a treat. We are still the undiscovered wonderland. What you will not find is.... hordes of people, "No Parking" signs, or "No Trespassing" signs. Our State and Federal Park lands are here for your respectful enjoyment. Yes, the forests that surround the Klamath area are State and/or Federal Parks. We are one of the few such parks that have no formal entrance gate or booth and you pay no admission for entering. This is why many travelers stop in our store and ask us "Where is the Redwood Forest?", when they are standing in the middle of it.
Well, as you can see I can go on and on about Klamath and why I think you might like to see it for yourself. Oh, back to your question. Woodland Villa Country Cabins is situated on 8 forested acres. Our Cabins have recently been remodeled and each cabin is clean, warm and cozy. All cabins have Color TV and cable with HBO. Some Cabins have mini kitchens, some have full kitchens, but all are a nice place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. On our property we also have a full market with hot food and make Redwood size deli sandwiches and a Great Homemade Pizza and other homemade specialty treats.
